Life hasn’t been great for Tanea Brooks, best known to pro wrestling fans as Rebel over the past few years. This is because she has been dealing with severe health difficulties, unfortunately resulting in plenty of hospital visits. And now the AEW talent has shared on Instagram that she is again receiving medical attention, this time after tripping over in the dark, and suffering a great deal of blood loss due to the medication she is currently on.

“Back in the ER ……. Again! Don’t scroll if you don’t want to see blood. I tripped in the dark over a chair and I caught myself with my face. Saw lightning flash behind my eyes when I hit my head. Nose bleed out of both nostrils and out my throat. I’m on blood thinners for a blood clot so there was concern for bleeding in the head. #graphic #blood”Rebel

Rebel, now 47, entered the professional wrestling industry in 2014 through OVW and would later make her TNA debut as a member of the Menagerie stable, teaming with Mike Knox, Rob Terry, and Crazzy Steve. Following that, she worked a match for WWE, where she competed on NXT in a tag team match, losing to Kairi Sane and Io Shirai.

However, without a contract offer from WWE, it appeared her future was likely to be in a backstage role, as AEW hired her for a hair and makeup position. Still, thanks to her charisma, she ended up being introduced to AEW fans alongside Dr. Britt Baker, and for a time, the double act was one of the highlights of Dynamite.
