Many wrestling fans consider “Timeless” Toni Storm to be one of the best gimmicks currently in the business, with the New Zealander having transformed herself into a Golden Age of Hollywood starlet that lives in black and white. However, some fans have expressed their desire to see the reigning AEW Women’s World Champion return to WWE to face the likes of Tiffany Stratton and Becky Lynch. Yet there isn’t much likelihood of this, as during an appearance on The Sandman’s podcast, Storm has confirmed she’s an AEW lifer.

“No, and that’s no offense to them. I think they’re great, and I understand them for exactly what they are. They’re a machine, they’re a business, and I just don’t fit in with their whole shtick, and that’s cool. I love it, and I love a lot of the people that work there. And it’s like, yes, get that money, get that power … This is AEW exclusive, and when it’s over, I will vanish. There’s no encore. This run is it. I’m not doing anything else. Where would I go? What would I do? I’m on a long deal with AEW. I basically signed my life to AEW. How much time do I have left? I’m on a five-year deal, and I can’t remember exactly how long, but I’m a lifer for AEW.”Toni Storm

29-year-old Storm was previously employed by WWE between 2017 and 2021, and initially appeared to be on the verge of becoming a big star on the main roster. Still, she would end up frustrated when she was called up to SmackDown, apparently feeling underappreciated and disrespected by the company, leading her to fly herself home and request her release. Therefore, it seems unlikely that WWE would want her back, given the circumstances of her abrupt departure, which Storm appears to be fine with.
