AJ Lee and CM Punk’s adorable dog Larry hasn’t had the best of times in recent years, with it known he had to recently undergo surgery after tearing his cranial cruciate ligament, which is the dog equivalent of the human ACL. And now, in truly depressing news for the couple, Punk has taken to Instagram to disclose that the 13-year-old has “crossed the rainbow bridge.” However, he would touchingly call it a “privilege to be so heartbroken and devastated for having experienced such a bond.”
Larry, named after The Wolf Man Larry Talbot, has been in Lee and Punk’s life for a decade after they adopted him from PAWS Chicago. From there, he became well-known to wrestling fans because Punk often talked about him during interviews and even brought him to shows in Chicago when he was with AEW. Yet Larry also became just as well-known to WWE fans, being immortalized and inspiring multiple pieces of merchandise, including plushes, action figures, and t-shirts, with part of the profits going back to help less fortunate dogs at PAWS.
