Bianca Belair has been sidelined for nearly a year after suffering an injury to her knuckle joint from her WrestleMania 41 match against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. Initially, it was hoped she would only be out for a few months, but it was later determined that surgery was required when rehab failed. And now, having been operated on, the WWE star has taken to Instagram to show off the gruesome aftermath, which certainly isn’t for the squeamish.
36-year-old Belair, dubbed “The EST of WWE,” has achieved multiple major milestones since her 2016 NXT debut, including winning the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble and main-eventing WrestleMania 37. However, arguably her biggest career achievement came at WrestleMania 38, where she defeated Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship, holding it for a record 420 days. Therefore, her absence from WWE television has been a huge blow to the product, though it has allowed names like Jade Cargill and Tiffany Stratton to step up and establish themselves.
