In somewhat unexpected news, TC of WrestleVotes on X reported that Candice LeRae is expanding her role with WWE, working behind the scenes to help produce matches. Apparently, she has already taken the reins on several bouts for Main Event, including Friday night’s match between The Street Profits vs. Los Garza, which was taped before SmackDown.
40-year-old LeRae has an extensive wrestling background, having competed in prominent promotions such as ROH, TNA, and Lucha Underground before signing with WWE and joining NXT television. Whether this new backstage role results in her in-ring work being reduced remains to be seen, but it appears WWE wants to utilize her 23 years of wrestling experience.
