Concern That Jacy Jayne’s House Show Injury Could See Her Stripped Of NXT Gold (w/Video)

While house shows are less of a priority for WWE nowadays, they still run them for NXT to give talents more experience in front of a live crowd. However, unfortunately, it appears that Thursday night’s show in Columbus, Ohio, has resulted in one of the brand’s top stars being injured.

This is because during a tag match, Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne suffered a leg injury, prompting the referee to use the dreaded “X” sign. Subsequently, the NXT Women’s Champion was helped to the back, leaving fans wondering the status of the championship.

29-year-old Jayne, real name Taylor Grado, began her wrestling journey in 2018 and, within just two years, managed to catch the attention of WWE scouts, leading to her participation in a number one WWE contenders battle royal for the NXT Women’s Championship. From there, she was signed by the company, repackaged, and put alongside Mandy Rose and Gigi Dolin in the Fatal Attraction stable. And while some at the time believed she was included to make up the numbers, she has ended up being the breakout star of the trio.
