While Zelina Vega and Aleister Black tied the knot back in 2018, it wasn’t until recently that they became associated on screen. And now that the duo is a package on SmackDown, eagle-eyed fans have noticed that Zelina Vega is now listed simply as “Zelina” on her WWE Superstar profile, omitting her last name entirely.
Why WWE has decided to do this is unclear, although it is somewhat surprising, as mononymous names were previously thought to be something only Vince McMahon wanted.

Zelina Vega debuted in 2010 as Divina Fly on the independent circuit, subsequently gaining experience in TNA. However, her career really took off in 2017 when she signed with WWE and notably managed Andrade. However, this run ended abruptly, as she was released due to not following WWE’s rules regarding third-party deals. Nevertheless, she didn’t give up on her WWE dream, and since returning to the company, has won the Queen of the Ring, the Women’s Tag Team Championships with Carmella, and, most recently, the Women’s United States Championship.
