Fans Wonder If Blake Monroe Crossed The Line With Her Now-Deleted Tweet

During this week’s episode of NXT, Blake Monroe, formerly known as Mariah May in AEW, brutally attacked Thea Hail, leading NXT GM Ava to eject her from the building. Speculation has since begun that this was done to move Monroe to the main roster in the coming weeks, where she is expected to be heavily pushed.

However, it appears the British wrestler may have gone too far with her latest tweet aimed at The Rock’s daughter, which she has since deleted, having called her a “power-tripping nepo baby b*tch.” Why Monroe deleted this tweet is unclear, but some fans have wondered if suggesting that saying she only has her job through family ties rather than solely on merit may be off-limits in WWE.

24-year-old Ava, real name Simone Johnson, is technically a fourth-generation wrestler despite having wrestled only six matches due to four knee surgeries. Signing with WWE in 2020, she debuted on NXT in 2022 as Ava Raine, establishing the Schism faction, and later transitioned to an on-screen authority role as NXT’s General Manager in early 2024. This spot allows her to be a prominent feature on WWE television while keeping her out of the ring, with it uncertain whether she is retired.
