Former WWE Talent Claims Vince McMahon Is Plotting To Buy Company Back From TKO

According to former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman, on his “The Coach and Bro Show,” Vince McMahon is reportedly quietly exploring a buyback of WWE from TKO Group Holdings, potentially backed by Saudi investors. Obviously, this would be huge news if true, and has been rumored previously. However, without official confirmation from McMahon, WWE, or TKO, the claims remain unverified and speculative within wrestling circles.

It is all over the place that Vince, in a silent way, has now started talking with the Saudi to start engaging with TKO about buying the WWE back, and he would be somewhat of a silent partner … My source reached out to me today, Vince, and he confirmed that that is actively going around at the company and around TKO that those talks are starting right now.– Jonathan Coachman

80-year-old McMahon agreed to sell WWE to Endeavor Group Holdings in 2023, merging it with UFC to form TKO Group Holdings in a deal valuing WWE at $9.3 billion and the combined entity at over $21 billion. This ended the McMahon family’s long control of WWE, which Vince had bought from his father in 1982 and built into a global empire. McMahon would briefly serve as TKO executive chairman but resigned in January 2024 amid misconduct allegations, and has since sold over $2 billion in TKO shares, significantly reducing his stake and potentially making a buyback more difficult.
