Having been released by WWE in May, Dakota Kai is currently taking a break from the ring, focusing on establishing herself as a Twitch streamer. Still, she recently stated that she’s “gonna get back into it,” indicating she plans to return to the ring sooner rather than later. However, some fans may not immediately recognize her when she resumes competing, as she has since updated her look, which she has now demonstrated in a brand-new selfie shared on Instagram.
37-year-old Kai, whose real name is Cheree Crowley, began working for WWE in 2015 and subsequently signed a contract with the company the following year. From there, she became a prominent member of the NXT roster and looked set for big things before being unexpectedly released in 2022 due to budget cuts. Still, her time away from the company wasn’t long, as after Triple H took control of creative and talent relations, one of his first actions was to re-sign her to be part of the original version of Damage CTRL alongside Bayley and Iyo Sky.
