Indie Wrestler Goes From AEW Dark To WWE Tryout

Independent wrestler Valentina Rossi, also known as Mafiosa, has announced on social media that she has been invited to an official WWE tryout. In an emotional tweet, the athlete expressed profound gratitude and excitement, reflecting on her journey back from a serious ACL tear that set her “back at zero.” While best known for working enhancement matches for AEW between 2021 and 2023, she actually made her NXT debut in November 2021, when she put over Steph De Lander.

Cats out of the bag!! Words cannot describe how grateful and excited I am for this opportunity after getting injured right after my last tryout and having to start back at zero, to having the craziest year of my life, I’m ready.– Valentina Rossi

30-year-old Rossi, real name Noelle Giorgi, hails from Washington Township, New Jersey, and now resides in Orlando, Florida. Trained at Shawn Spears and Tyler Breeze’s Flatbacks Wrestling School, she made her in-ring debut in 2019 and has since competed for AEW, Ring of Honor, WOW, and Billy Corgan’s NWA, where, until recently, she was a World Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Tiffany Nieves.
