Liv Morgan Gets Candid On Childhood Hardship As An Obsessed WWE Fan

Liv Morgan has opened up about her challenging childhood on Stephanie McMahon’s podcast, revealing that, having grown up with five siblings, she and her family were too poor to afford WWE pay-per-view events. Instead, they’d tune into the channels, listening to “white noise,” hoping to catch fleeting glimpses of the action. The WWE star noted they knew WWE.com was updated at midnight, so “We’d go on the website really quick” to get the results.

“We couldn’t afford the pay-per-view. So we would just listen to, like, the white noise. Like, it would just be like the white noise, and you would kind of see a glimpse of something. And we’re just following it along. At midnight, they would update the website. We’d go on the website really quick.”Liv Morgan

31-year-old Morgan, real name Gionna Daddio, began her path to WWE stardom while working as a waitress and at Hooters in New Jersey, where her then-boyfriend, Enzo Amore, encouraged her to pursue a career in the business. Subsequently, she signed with WWE in 2014 and, after proving herself in NXT, joined the main roster in 2017 as part of The Riott Squad. Her career then really took off in 2022, when she won Money in the Bank and cashed in to claim the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
