Mark Henry Addresses Jade Cargill’s Haters Following Her SmackDown Main Event Match

Mark Henry was instrumental in breaking Jade Cargill into the pro wrestling industry and has since served as a mentor to her. Therefore, it is easy to understand why he is protective of the current WWE star. And now, after Cargill suffered a severe cut from the ringside steps during this week’s episode of SmackDown in a match against Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax, Henry has used this as an opportunity to question those who doubt her wrestling ability while speaking on Busted Open.

“The people that say you can’t wrestle, hey, you might want to reconsider. Not only did she never stop moving, she was involved in everything, and she executed things at a high level… Jade kept going. Did she quit? Did she stop? No, she kept going.”Mark Henry

33-year-old Cargill commenced her pro wrestling career in 2019 with a WWE tryout. However, despite being offered a contract, she chose to forge her own path, training first at the wrestling schools of Heath Slater and AR Fox before joining the Nightmare Factory under the guidance of QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes. This opened the door for her to join AEW in 2021, where she was propelled to wrestling stardom thanks to a dominant, Goldberg-like winning streak.
