In very unexpected news, NXT and EVOLVE’s Brinley Reece has announced on Instagram her decision to exit the professional wrestling business, ending her three-year tenure with WWE. The former acrobat cited ongoing personal health struggles and a severe shoulder injury sustained in 2025 that required surgery as the primary reasons, stating she was “choosing my health, my body, and my future first.“
25-year-old Reece, whose going real name is Breanna Ruggier, signed with WWE in 2022, training at the Performance Center, and debuted on NXT in October 2023 in the Women’s Breakout Tournament as a replacement for Jakara Jackson. From there, she gained experience on NXT house shows, while wrestling short television matches, and even competed on TNA’s Bound For Glory 2024 pre-show alongside Xia Brookside against Ash By Elegance & Heather By Elegance. However, while it appeared she was going to get pushed in EVOLVE, the aforementioned shoulder injury had kept her off TV for most of 2025.
