Piper Niven has been absent from the ring since last August, with it known that the WWE star is dealing with a potentially career-ending neck injury. And now, acknowledging she has been quiet about this situation, she has taken to X.com to say she is currently in “a good spot,” but admitted at times she couldn’t stand for any length of time. At this time, it isn’t known whether the Scottish wrestler will ever compete again, but based on her words, it appears she hasn’t given up hope.
“I am in a good spot rn! I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet with you guys …Do I want to come back? Of course I do. This is all I’ve done and all I’ve wanted to do since I was 16 years old and I can’t imagine doing anything else, I still love it as much as I did the first day I started. And I feel like I was really just starting to get confident again and open up and hit my groove. So all this to say, I hope so. Keep your fingers crossed for me.” – Piper Niven
34-year-old Niven, real name Kimberly Benson, debuted as Vyper in 2009 and notably wrestled for Insane Championship Wrestling and World Wonder Ring Stardom before joining WWE in 2017 as Piper Niven. Her main roster callup would see her renamed Doudrop, and while she saw some success, after returning to her Niven name and aligning with Chelsea Green, she would be further prominently featured and treated as a genuine threat.
