Queen Aminata has been absent from the ring since October 2025 due to a serious neck injury. However, she has now shared a positive update on her vlog, divulging “I won’t be back on TV until the 25th in Denver,” indicating she’ll be at this week’s Dynamite/Collision taping at the Mission Ballroom in Colorado. Still, despite the medical clearance, she revealed she’s nervous about bumping again, which is understandable.
“So I’m hoping to be back pretty soon. The doctor changed my schedule, and I won’t be back on TV until the 25th in Denver … I don’t know why I’m freaking out about it. I’ve been doing this for almost 10 years, but taking a bump is scary. Especially when you get hurt, and you come back, and they’re like, ‘Okay, take your first bump.’ I don’t care what anybody says, to me, it’s nerve-wracking.” – Queen Aminata
32-year-old Aminata, real name Aminata Sylla, immigrated to the US in 2013 after growing up in Guinea, and debuted on the indies in 2017. Subsequently, she made WWE history as the first African-born woman to wrestle for the company in 2019, but was not signed to a contract. Still, after not being hired, she worked enhancement matches for AEW in 2021, eventually earning a full-time contract in 2024, which is believed to run through 2027.
