Samantha Irvin, the wife of AEW star Ricochet, has deactivated her X.com account following backlash and even death threats surrounding her husband’s recent controversial remark. Ricochet told a fan with multiple sclerosis, “I’m glad you got MS,” in response to her criticism, sparking online outrage. Initially, he defended himself, but later apologized, admitting he had wrongly targeted the fan. Still, the controversy has made both the wrestler and the former WWE ring announcer targets, prompting Irvin to step away from the platform.

37-year-old Irvin, a former WWE ring announcer, gained acclaim for her dynamic voice at events like WrestleMania 40 before leaving to pursue a career in the music industry, stating ring announcing wasn’t for her. However, it is believed that once her two-year non-compete clause expires in late 2026, she will join Ricochet at AEW in a managerial role. Of course, this now depends on Ricochet still being employed by the promotion, which is currently uncertain after his ill-advised tweet embarrassed the company.
