In concerning news, Saraya, also known as Paige from her time in WWE, has confirmed on X that her father, “Rowdy” Ricky Knight, is currently hospitalized. The British wrestler didn’t disclose the reason that he needed medical care, but did note the 72-year-old has “been sick for a while.” Still, she also said he is “getting healthier every single day,” which suggests that his condition is improving.
Ricky Knight, real name Patrick Frary, debuted in 1978, teaming with his then trainer Jimmy Ocean as The Superflys on the British independent circuit. Then, in 1994, he co-founded the World Association of Wrestling alongside his wife, Sweet Saraya, serving as promoter and trainer through its academy. However, he is likely best known nowadays for being the father of Saraya, thanks to the movie “Fighting With My Family,” which saw “Shaun of the Dead” and “Hot Fuzz” actor Nick Frost portray him.
