Shotzi Shares Heartbreaking Information From Her Childhood

Shotzi Blackheart is currently doing her best to prove that WWE was wrong for letting her depart the company earlier this year, working indie shows most weekends. And now, in a no-holds-barred podcast interview with a fellow former WWE star, Saraya, the green-haired asskicker has opened up her troubling past, revealing she was abused between the ages of 8 and 12 by a family member. Additionally, and making this more awful, Shotzi disclosed that her mother didn’t give her the support she needed, defending the perverted perpetrator instead.

“So I was eight when it started. He moved to America from the Philippines, and my mom took him in. And it was both me and my sister. And it lasted until I was 12, until I went to the police about it. Which actually made things a lot worse for me. Yeah, four years of sexual abuse … It hurt me more that my mom defended him than what he actually did to me. I felt like my mom didn’t believe me, or she just didn’t care about what happened to me.”Shotzi Blackheart

33-year-old Shotzi, real name Ashley Urbanski, initially tried to get WWE’s attention by competing on Tough Enough but withdrew from the competition due to health issues. Still, she would not be deterred from pursuing her career and signed with WWE in 2019, going on to feature on NXT and then SmackDown. And while it was thought she was a favorite of Triple H, her career lost all of its momentum when she landed awkwardly while attempting an apron DDT and subsequently required knee surgery.
