Stephanie Vaquer’s Ex-Boyfriend El Cuatrero Breaks Silence On His Domestic Violence Arrest

Arrested in March 2023 on charges of domestic violence and attempted femicide, Stephanie Vaquer’s ex-boyfriend, El Cuatrero, spent nearly two years in custody before being released on March 7, 2025. And now, during a new interview on Nuestra Santa Voluntad, the luchador has denied the allegations by insisting he did nothing wrong, and says he holds no resentment toward Vaquer, saying he doesn’t want to hold on to anger while claiming to trust the Mexican legal system.

I believed in Mexican law, and I still do, because justice will come. I trusted that I hadn’t done anything. Honestly, it was more like, ‘Damn, I don’t want problems.’ The last thing I want is problems … Almost two years. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Yes, that’s why I don’t have anything against her. Why? Because it’s a process. I already lived what I had to live. On the contrary, thank you. I’m here. I’m still breathing. I’m enjoying another day. So I don’t see why I should hold anger.– El Cuatrero

El Cuatrero is the son of lucha libre icon Cien Caras, and made his debut in the business in 2010 as Máscara Universal before becoming the masked rudo El Cuatrero. He gained fame first in CMLL before joining AAA in 2021 and working for the promotion until his incarceration in 2023. Yet while it was always presumed he would eventually resume his career in AAA once his case concluded, that was before WWE purchased the lucha libre company last year.
