The Bunny Gives Fans Hope She’ll Resume Her Wrestling Career After Two-Year Hiatus

Following her departure from AEW in 2023, Allie, also known as The Bunny, confirmed that she was taking a break from the business. Still, there was a glimmer of hope for those who want to see her wrestle again after she was spotted at a TNA television taping earlier this year. And now seemingly suggesting her comeback could be imminent, the popular horror-obsessed Canadian has revealed on Instagram that she’s decided to train, positively saying that despite the pain, “it felt so good.

“I didn’t realize how much wrestling brought me joy until I hit rock bottom, and wrestling was like a little bit of like a light in the storm … I decided to train. I got in the ring. It hurts so bad at first, but you guys. I started hitting the ropes. Oh my God. Like, it was really painful, but, like, honestly, it felt so good.”The Bunny

38-year-old Allie, real name Laura Dennis, broke into the business in 2005 under the ring name Cherry Bomb and has since wrestled for multiple promotions, including TNA, ROH, and CZW. This led to her becoming one of AEW’s first female signings following the company’s launch, and after initially being used as a singles wrestler, she later also became the valet of The Butcher and The Blade tag team. However, she would begin to be used less and less due to a broken orbital bone and lack of creative, which eventually led to the two sides agreeing to go their separate ways.
