TNA Open Investigation Following Shocking Domestic Abuse Allegation

On Tuesday, a friend of indie wrestler Akira, whose real name is Alexander Atkisson, took to social media to share a series of text messages and photos, alleging that he had been in a toxic relationship with TNA’s Masha Slamovich. Allegedly, Slamovich had physically assaulted Akira on more than one occasion and verbally bullied him during their relationship.

As of writing, 27-year-old Slamovich has yet to comment, although, indicating the shocking claims are being taken seriously, a spokesperson for TNA has told Sports Illustrated they have opened an internal investigation.

“A spokesperson for the organization replied with the following statement: “We take any allegations like this very seriously, and have begun an internal investigation.” The Takedown on SI also reached out personally to Slamovich to offer her an opportunity to speak to the situation, though have not heard back as of press time.”Sports Illustrated

Slamovich, real name is Anna Khozin, began wrestling in 2016 and, within a few years, was appearing on TNA television. Subsequently, she became a significant part of the roster and has since held the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships three times, and was recently the TNA Knockouts World Champion for 267 days. However, some now believe her TNA career will soon be over due to the allegations, with indie promotions West Coast Pro and Prestige Wrestling having already unbooked her.
