Dr. Britt Baker hasn’t wrestled for AEW since November 2024, although initially, there was little concern, as it was believed she was working on other projects. However, that changed after PWTorch.com reported that there is “a lot of frustration with her” within AEW management, seemingly suggesting she may not have a long-term future with the company.
Yet, while speaking to Ariel Helwani on Tuesday, Tony Khan has confirmed she remains very much in his plans, saying he is “just looking for the right time” and wants her to be 100%, suggesting injury has played a role in her absence.
At one point, 34-year-old Baker looked set to be the long-term face of AEW’s women’s division, but in recent years, she has been surpassed in status by Toni Storm and Mercedes Moné on the women’s side of the roster. Additionally, it’s known that just a few weeks before All In 2024, she was suspended due to a backstage altercation involving MJF and his now-wife, Alicia Atout. Therefore, given this incident and her having slid down the pecking order, it would have been understandable if Khan had decided to move on without her.
