Torrie Wilson is considered one of WWE’s all-time great Divas, and while she hasn’t wrestled regularly since 2007, she is fondly remembered, especially by fans who grew up infatuated with her. And now, during a new interview with Ariel Helwani, she has opened up about her time working for the company. Part of this would see her address having to kiss Vince McMahon on-camera during her debut, revealing somewhat oddly that McMahon’s now estranged wife, Linda, was not only present but also helping direct the kiss.
50-year-old Wilson broke into the wrestling business in 1999 after attending a WCW show and being invited backstage. Subsequently, she would be hired as a valet before being fast-tracked into becoming an in-ring performer. Yet, despite being regularly featured, she would ultimately be released in 2000. Still, her pro wrestling adventure wouldn’t end there, as WWE hired her to be part of The Alliance during the WCW invasion angle the following year. And while she would have many unforgettable moments over the next seven years, arguably the most memorable was when she feuded with Dawn Marie in an angle involving her real-life father marrying the former ECW talent.
