This was unexpected as 48-year-old Kazarian had never previously won such a prestigious singles championship despite the fact hsi ability has never been in question.
And now, during a new interview with WrestlingNews.co, his wife and former TNA colleague Traci Brooks has described this as getting “his flowers,” a term used for someone receiving the recognition they deserve while still present to appreciate it.
Kazarian left AEW in early 2023, requesting his release despite having time left on his contract because he felt underutilized. This bold move would see him return to TNA, where he arguably had his most significant career success, having previously been a six-time TNA X Division Champion and three-time TNA World Tag Team Champion. Subsequently, he was featured as a star, picking up big wins over Joe Hendry, Matt Cardona, Steve Maclin, Elijah, and, ultimately, Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship.
