Earlier this week, TNA announced that Mickie James will be inducted into their Hall of Fame at Bound For Glory, which is a big deal for women’s wrestling fans. And now proving that the company is fully on board with paying tribute to the Knockouts of the past, it has been confirmed via a press release that Velvet Sky and Angelina Love, best known for being the original incarnation of The Beautiful People, will be joining her.
For those who didn’t follow TNA at the time, The Beautiful People was a group of wrestlers who felt they were more attractive than the other talents. Initially established by Sky and Love in 2007, the popular duo was joined by Madison Rayne, Lacey Von Erich, and even Billy Gunn, who was then using the name Cute Kip at various points, resulting in numerous storylines. Collectively, the faction would twice hold the Knockout’s Tag Team Champions, defending the belts under the Freebird Rule as well as the TNA Knockouts Championship six times, with four of these being via Love.
