Last weekend, CM Punk posted some adorable videos of Larry, his and AJ Lee’s pet dog, enjoying snacks while wearing a protective cone. And now, while appearing on Pardon My Take, Punk has revealed that their 13-year-old pooch is currently recovering from surgery, which explains the need for the cone. What surgery Larry needed isn’t publicly known, but last year Punk did disclose Larry had torn his cranial cruciate ligament, which is the dog equivalent of the human ACL, which stabilizes the knee.
Larry, named after The Wolf Man Larry Talbot, has been in Punk and Lee’s life for over a decade, having been adopted from PAWS Chicago. From there, he became well-known to wrestling fans because Punk often talked about him during interviews and even brought him to shows in Chicago when he was with AEW. However, Larry is now becoming just as well-known to WWE fans and has since become immortalized forever, thanks to the adorable canine having multiple pieces of merchandise produced, including plushes, action figures, and t-shirts.
