34-year-old Vega, real name Thea Trinidad, tragically lost her father when he perished in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, where he worked as a telecom analyst for Cantor Fitzgerald. Since then, she has often honored the man who first got her into pro wrestling by paying tribute to him, including through ring gear, social media posts, and public readings of victims’ names.
